Then we ruminate on the need for a California Central Coast Beer Half Marathon.

We also discuss how Jimmy Stewart’s PTSD from flying bombers over the European theater in WWII contributed to some of his stunning performances in the movie.

The One Where We Get Cancelled

Recorded the week of Thanksgiving, we begin by indulging in some cooking talk. We then follow up our review of Good Will Hunting with a discussion about how great secular art and pop culture can inform us to understand broken people and to how to live the best Jesus-centered life.
Next, we delve once again into the Israel-Gaza war by pointing out that Israel provided military support to the country of Azerbaijan and their ethnic cleansing of Armenian’s from the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This inconvenient truth certainly makes full-throated support of Israel more difficult.

We finish the discussion by strongly disagreeing with prominent Christian Russell Moore who, amongst other things, states we should support Israel because “Our Lord Jesus was and is a Jewish man from Galilee. Rage against the Jewish people is rage against him, and, because we are in him, against us.”
